Story

More Than 25 Years in the Making…

Part of the DWA network of agencies, we started out of the spare room of our CEO’s house in 1994. In those early years, we had one client (still with us today). Meeting planning for the biopharmaceutical industry was our bread and butter.

As the business grew, AVAIL, a Certified Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, became its own agency in 2017. Today, we serve a diverse portfolio of clients, from top pharmaceutical companies to trade associations, all of it driven by a mission to think outside the checkbox, understand our clients’ needs, and customize services that accomplish their goals.

With more than 20 years of experience in healthcare marketing, education, and communications preceded by 10 years in senior management with Fortune 500 companies, Deborah is highly recognized in the industry for her visionary leadership and innovation and the success of her entrepreneurial endeavors. PharmaVOICE magazine readers named Deborah one of the 100 Most Inspiring People in the Life-Sciences Industry. Deborah serves as a member of the United Way Women’s Leadership Council. She is Past President of the Board of Directors for St. Vincent Carmel Hospital, a member of the Board of Directors for the Diversity Alliance for Science, Inc. (DA4S), and a board member for The Alliance—A Forum of Indiana Business Leaders. She is also a member of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council and the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association. In 2014, Deborah received the Starkey Entrepreneurial Woman Award, which recognizes women business leaders who exemplify the spirit of success, teamwork, and leadership.

Nikki is responsible for providing AVAIL Meeting Planning and Speaker Bureau Services with strategic and operational oversight. She has been with the DWA network of agencies since 2001 and is known for her exceptional operational prowess, strong budget and financial management, strategic problem solving, and extraordinary leadership and people development. With more than 15 years of brand strategy, operational, and project management experience, Nikki also has extensive experience with process development, improvement, and implementation. She focuses on how all of that translates to the meeting planning and speaker bureau space. Nikki graduated from Indiana University with a degree in sports management.

Jeri Moody

Jeri Moody, CMP

Director

With more than 20 years of experience in the meeting planning industry, Jeri provides logistic services for multiple management projects, including associations, advisory boards, speaker trainings, global medical conferences, national/regional sales meetings and product launches, corporate events, and other meetings. She represents AVAIL to external clients and ensures all vendors and subcontractors comply fully with regulations.

Jeri graduated from the University of Evansville (Indiana) with a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications and has been designated a Certified Meeting Professional since 2011.
